Field Trips At Cold Spring School

Field Trips At Cold Spring School

Learning at Cold Spring is an exciting, creative, inquiry-based process - one that emphasizes contact with primary sources and actual materials. We strongly believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in experiences that involve their minds, bodies, and spirits. We also believe that our classroom walls should be permeable so teaching and learning can extend beyond our classrooms and our school. Often, this kind of learning happens in the form of field trips that serve as springboards, starting points or next steps in the research process. They are building blocks or grounding experiences for learning to deepen and broaden understanding and inspire curiosity. Field trips provide incredibly formative and educational experiences for students and teachers!
