Cold Spring School: Walkin' the Dot |
|
Second- and third-grade students studied the work of Paul Klee, who once said "a line is a dot that goes for a walk." Using black paint, the children started with a dot at the edge of the page and "walked" to another edge in a straight, zig-zag, or curved line. They repeated this five times and then filled the spaces with contrasting warm and cool colors. The children were given the choice of adding pattern to these spaces. |
