4/5 Motion & Design

Embracing the spirit of trial and error, fourth and fifth grade students collaborated, designed, and built vehicles within a set of given parameters. In their final presentations, the teams reflected on the obstacles they overcame in designing their vehicles as well as in working through team dynamics.  Attending the presentations were classmates, teachers, parents, and Dr. Joe Zinter, Assistant Director of Yale CEID, Center for Innovation, Engineering, and Design.

"It's cool because you're building a car. You actually get to experience and problem solve, instead of just reading about what someone else did."
