Mosquitoes

Adult mosquitoes have a fragile body with 2 pairs of thin wings and 3 pairs of long slender legs. Depending on the species, mosquitoes can be black with brown markings, brown with black markings, plain brown, or plain black.

This is a movie of a mosquito larvae under a microscope.
Mosquitoes bite you to get blood. When they take some blood they replace it with some of their own, poisonous, saliva.Though your skin is allergic to this saliva, you will not die when bitten. Don't worry, your body immune system can fight the small amount of poison so that all you get is an alergic reaction which is a small itchy bump. Only female mosquitoes bite because they need the blood they take to feed there babies. It is always good to kill mosquitoes for that reason.
