Cold Spring School has one preschool classroom that serves children ages three and four and can have up to 14 students. Children entering as three-year-olds stay in this classroom for two years.  The preschool program is a full school day program with an optional Extended Day until 5:30pm.  Preschoolers enjoy a rich, hands-on curriculum that is play and discovery based and includes Spanish, fitness, and music. 

Preschool applicants must turn three years old before November 1 of the year they will begin the preschool program.

We strongly encourage families to join us for one of our Tours for Parents before submitting an application if you have not yet seen Cold Spring School in action.

After we receive the application from you and the Student Evaluation form (from your child's current teacher, if applicable), you will be contacted to schedule your child’s visit to the preschool classroom.

Preschool visits are individual and last about 45 minutes. No formal screening is administered, but you and your child will visit the preschool classroom with the Director of Admissions. A time will also be arranged for you to discuss your child’s application with the Director.
